- Kevin, The problem with the older C64's is the VIC or video chip also
- known as the 6567 chip. On most boards it is in IC U19. If you will look
- inside your older computers you will probably see a purplish topped IC chip
- instead of the normal solit black chips that are in most newer 64's. That
- chip will have what looks similar to an eprom window on the top of it, and
- the legs will be gold colored. This is one of the problems with the older
- boards. Simply replace the old IC with one of the newer solid black ones
- and your video should improve dramatically.
